We guarantee our workmanship and materials for one (1) year from the date we complete an order. Workmanship is defined as installation methods and practices. Materials are defined as the physical window treatment as a full unit. Shade and drapery motors are covered under the specific manufacturer’s warranty for five (5) years stamped on the motor.
Total Window is not responsible for any system failure caused by electrician, automation company, or other general contracting services (such as painting).
If you should have an issue with an order, call or write our Customer Service desk, and give us a complete description of the problem. We will then be able to determine the best method of service. In many instances a service visit is required in order to properly assess the course of remedy. This service visit fee is included in your one (1) year warranty. Any service needs falling outside the scope of warranty will be assessed a nominal fee plus a charge for any needed materials and/or supplies.
If the need arises to remove your treatment for servicing, we will work to reinstall your treatment in a reasonable amount of time. Lead times vary based on the product serviced and any particular manufacturer service repair requirements (if applicable).
For treatments that require shipment back to Total Window for assessment and repair, we kindly ask you to ship the treatment to us, and (as long as the treatment is in need of service under warranty) we will cover the shipping back to you.
The Total Window Warranty is limited to rework or replacement only and we retain the right to determine how a fabrication defect will be corrected. Replacements will be made to the original specifications only. Your designer is fully responsible for all design decisions, including suitability of fabric selections. Total Window is not responsible for any failure of fabric or design.
